Alfonso Cruz  - Syracuse University

I am a proud Puerto Rican, pursuing my dream of becoming an Electrical Engineer in the freezing weather of Upstate NY at Syracuse University. I will be graduating May 2017 and I am strongly considering pursuing a PhD.

I chose to study engineering because I simply love the magic that lays beneath technology. All the uncertainties and mysteries keep me up at night.

I love the power engineering field since power engineers are the drivers of our community. We provide that "fuel" our technologically advance society needs.

How has been selected as a PES Scholar impacted you?

It not only helped me relax, financially, but it has also opened doors for me to be a successful engineer.
